Job Responsibilities and Qualifications

The Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care that aligns with departmental needs and adheres to the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Collaborating with medical professionals and other care team members, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing frameworks such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN acts as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization’s vision, mission, and values to ensure an exceptional patient experience and clinical outcomes that enhance overall departmental performance.

  • Regularly assesses patient pain to facilitate effective pain management, including follow-up evaluations after interventions.
  • Executes procedures, monitoring, or other tasks as directed by medical providers, ensuring timely and thorough documentation of care in patient medical records.
  • Delivers outstanding care by promptly responding to patient requests and proactively anticipating and addressing their needs.
  • Educates patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up care, simplifying complex medical terminology for better understanding.
  • Instructs patients, families, and caregivers on non-medical follow-up measures, such as healthy lifestyle choices, disease prevention, and self-management strategies.
Qualifications Required:
  • Completion of Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training within 6 months of starting employment.
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
