Work EnvironmentLocated in Syracuse, New York, our facility operates in a vibrant community setting, allowing us to address a diverse range of orthopedic and rehabilitative needs. The rehabilitation facility is designed to promote healing and recovery, featuring state-of-the-art equipment and a collaborative staff who work together to support patient recovery journeys. The work schedule is typically Monday through Friday, providing a balanced work-life dynamic for our employees.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their physical conditions, incorporating detailed patient histories and current physical assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs, incorporating a variety of therapeutic modalities.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians and occupational therapists, to adjust treatment plans based on ongoing patient progress and feedback.
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all patient interactions, evaluations, treatment protocols, and discharge plans in compliance with legal and organizational standards.
- Adhere to productivity expectations while balancing the demands of patient care, ensuring all treatments are delivered punctually and effectively.
- Participate in organizational initiatives and community outreach programs to enhance health awareness and promote access to physical therapy services.
- Engage in continuous professional development through workshops, seminars, and clinical education opportunities.
As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will primarily focus on patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Your interventions will be instrumental in facilitating patients' functional recovery and improving their quality of life. The diverse patient population ranges from pediatric to geriatric individuals, each presenting unique rehabilitation goals and challenges.
Qualifications- Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Licensed to practice physical therapy in the state of New York, with current American Heart Association's Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and team members.
- Dedication to patient-centered care and a passion for enhancing patient experiences in a clinical setting.
- While prior experience in physical therapy is beneficial, we welcome new graduates who are eager to learn and grow in their careers.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems and documentation processes is advantageous.
The annual salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $100,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
