Work EnvironmentLocated in the heart of Perth Amboy, our rehabilitation center offers a bright and welcoming environment equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and therapy tools. You'll work alongside a multidisciplinary team focused on patient-centered care, collaborating with occupational therapists, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive treatment plans. This onsite role emphasizes hands-on interaction, allowing for immediate feedback and continuous improvement of therapeutic techniques.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients, developing individualized treatment plans based on their recovery goals.
- Utilize a combination of exercise regimens, manual therapy, and advanced therapeutic equipment to assist patients in regaining mobility and reducing pain.
- Document all patient interactions, treatment progress, and outcomes accurately in our digital health record system, ensuring compliance with best practices and regulatory standards.
- Regularly meet with patients and their families to adjust treatment plans, educating them on therapy techniques and self-care strategies to enhance recovery.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to plan and implement dynamic rehabilitation programs tailored to each patient's needs.
- Provide training for caregivers and family members, empowering them to support the patients' therapeutic journey beyond the clinic.
- Engage in continuous professional development activities, including workshops and conferences, to stay current with evolving physical therapy methodologies and technologies.
The patients you will serve range from individuals recovering from surgery to those rehabilitating from injuries related to sports or lifestyle changes. You will work with both elderly patients needing mobility assistance and active adults seeking to restore their functional capabilities. Our emphasis is on delivering holistic care that respects the patient's personal goals, preferences, and circumstances, ensuring we meet their physical and emotional needs.
Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or related field.
- State licensure in Physical Therapy; Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively share information with patients and team members.
- Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with therapy documentation software.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a clinical setting is required.
- Current CPR certification is necessary.
- Experience in a rehabilitation or outpatient clinic setting.
- Proficient in utilizing various therapeutic modalities and technologies.
- Previous experience developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing clinical scenarios and patient needs.
