Work EnvironmentThis position is onsite within our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility located in Woodbridge, NJ. Our facility is equipped with advanced therapeutic tools and equipment designed to enhance the recovery process. Working Monday through Friday, you will have the flexibility to choose your own hours whether it's during the day or late afternoon—allowing for a work-life balance that meets your personal needs while serving our patients effectively.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients and develop individualized treatment plans that address their specific rehabilitation goals.
- Utilize various therapeutic techniques, including exercise regimens, hands-on therapy, and modern rehabilitation equipment to alleviate patient discomfort and enhance mobility.
- Continuously track and document patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on ongoing evaluations and feedback.
- Engage and educate patients, their families, and caregivers on effective therapy practices and assistive devices to encourage better self-management and recovery.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in the field by attending workshops, participating in professional societies, and reviewing pertinent literature to maintain high levels of professional competence.
You will work with a varied patient demographic, including children recovering from sports injuries, adults regaining strength after surgery, and elderly patients rehabilitating from falls or chronic conditions. Each patient presents a unique set of challenges and requires tailored treatment strategies, making your expertise vital in their recovery journey.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Current State License in Physical Therapy and CPR certification.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities to effectively relay complex information to patients and their families.
- Comprehensive computer skills for maintaining patient records and documentation.
- A commitment to maintaining professional knowledge through ongoing education and networking within the field.
- A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in a clinical setting.
- Experience working directly with diverse populations and familiarity with various rehabilitation methods.
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is a plus, though not mandatory.
