Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Licensed Physical Therapist, your key responsibilities will include:
- Evaluating patients' physical conditions through detailed assessments and diagnostic testing to establish effective treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
- Implementing personalized rehabilitation programs that focus on enhancing physical capabilities, aiding recovery, and minimizing pain.
- Overseeing the performance of physical therapy assistants to guarantee high standards in the delivery of treatment protocols.
- Delivering hands-on therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, functional exercises, and activities of daily living training.
- Monitoring and recording patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary, and providing feedback to clients and their families about the outcomes.
- Coordinating with interdisciplinary teams to devise comprehensive care strategies that align with each client's overall health goals.
- Ensuring all clinical documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, is accurate, completed timely, and maintained in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Engaging with clients and their families to educate them about treatment protocols and physical therapy techniques that can be practiced at home.
- Participating in team meetings and case conferences, contributing your insights on treatment efficacy and patient care plans.

QualificationsTo qualify for this position, candidates must possess the following:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Current licenses to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia, held in good standing.
- At least one year of hands-on experience in physical therapy, preferably in an acute care or rehabilitation environment.
- Up-to-date CPR certification and valid driver's license with appropriate insurance coverage.
- A commitment to quality, clinical excellence, and the ability to connect with patients empathetically.
While the required experience is a minimum of one year, candidates with backgrounds in orthopedic rehabilitation, sports therapy, or geriatric care will find significant advantages in our patient care environment. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) software and a familiarity with evidence-based practices is also preferred.
