Work EnvironmentOur rehabilitation facility provides a supportive and engaging environment where you can thrive both professionally and personally. Working onsite from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, you will enjoy a structured schedule that allows you to develop strong relationships with your patients while utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and resources. Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient evaluations to identify individual needs, goals, and limitations.
- Develop and implement customized treatment plans employing a variety of modalities and evidence-based interventions to enhance mobility and function.
- Provide ongoing education to patients about their conditions and self-management strategies, encouraging them to actively participate in their rehabilitation process.
- Utilize cutting-edge rehabilitation techniques, including manual therapies, therapeutic exercise, and electrotherapy, to maximize patient outcomes.
- Document and monitor patient progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal results.
- Foster a motivational atmosphere during therapy sessions, empowering patients and instilling confidence in their recovery journeys.
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers, including physicians, occupational therapists, and nutritionists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
You will primarily work with individuals recovering from musculoskeletal injuries and surgeries requiring specialized orthopedic rehabilitation. Patients may include athletes seeking to return to sports, elderly clients focused on improving their mobility, and those with chronic pain conditions. Your approach will be holistic, addressing not only the injuries but also incorporating elements to promote overall wellness and prevention.
Qualifications- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required; advanced degrees such as a Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy are preferred.
- Current and active state licensure as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
- At least two years of direct experience in orthopedic rehabilitation is essential, with documented success in treating musculoskeletal conditions.
- Strong communication skills are crucial for effective interaction with patients, family members, and healthcare colleagues.
- A proven ability to manage diverse patient personalities and foster a positive therapeutic environment.
- Experience in outpatient physical therapy settings, particularly in rehabilitation facilities.
