Work EnvironmentThe position is based onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Freehold, NJ. Our facility is designed to provide a supportive and healing atmosphere, equipped with modern therapy equipment and technologies that enhance treatment outcomes. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers to create a holistic approach to patient care.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients to determine their physical condition and rehabilitation needs.
- Developing individualized treatment plans that incorporate a variety of therapeutic modalities, such as exercise sequences, manual therapy techniques, and assistive devices.
- Implementing and adjusting treatment plans based on patient responses, rehabilitation goals, and progress monitoring.
- Documenting treatment procedures, patient responses, and outcomes in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Providing education and training to patients, their families, and caregivers regarding home exercise programs, proper body mechanics, and use of mobility aids.
- Engaging in continuous professional development through attending workshops, reading current literature, and networking with peers.
Our therapy services cater to a diverse patient population, including children and adults facing a range of orthopedic conditions. You will work specifically with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, such as joint replacements or fracture repairs, as well as those dealing with chronic conditions like arthritis or sports-related injuries. Your expertise will be essential in helping these individuals regain their functional independence and improve their overall wellbeing.
QualificationsAll candidates must possess the following qualifications:
- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure in New Jersey.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records and basic computer applications.
- A commitment to providing compassionate patient-centered care.
