Work EnvironmentThis position is based at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Winchester, Virginia. Working onsite allows therapists to collaborate closely with each other and with a broader healthcare team to maximize patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical conditions, implementing personalized treatment plans that align with the physician's recommendations.
- Deliver therapeutic interventions across a variety of specialties including orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine cases.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and caregivers, ensuring they feel supported and informed throughout their treatment journey.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maximize recovery potential through comprehensive care strategies.
- Educate patients and their families on exercises, recovery techniques, and lifestyle adjustments to facilitate long-term health improvement.
- Track and maintain documentation of patient progress, adhering to legal and ethical standards.
- Meet utilization goals and participate in business objectives aimed at enhancing practice performance.
The patients you will work with at Viera Physical Therapy are diverse and may include individuals recovering from surgery, athletes needing rehabilitation, children with developmental disabilities, and adults facing complex neurological challenges. Your expertise will guide them through tailored therapeutic regimes aimed at restoring functionality and enhancing their quality of life.
Qualifications- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
- Current state license as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) held in Virginia, verified by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a clinical setting.
- Certification in CPR to ensure patient safety.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Proficient technical skills, including word processing and electronic medical record systems.
- Ability to build genuine relationships with patients, fostering trust and motivation to achieve therapy goals.
While not mandatory, candidates with experience in a multidisciplinary team environment, particularly in outpatient rehabilitation settings, will be given preference. Familiarity with exercise physiology and manual therapy techniques will also be beneficial in delivering comprehensive care to our diverse patient population.
