Work EnvironmentThis is a remote position that allows for flexibility while connecting passionately with students and families in school districts across the region. You will be using state-of-the-art telehealth technology to provide therapy sessions and mental health support, making it a convenient option for both clients and their families. The remote nature of this role provides the opportunity to develop therapeutic relationships with clients in a flexible setting, promoting comfort and openness in the therapeutic process.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to gain insight into clients' mental health issues, resources, and support systems.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and trauma-focused interventions, to provide comprehensive therapy.
- Design and implement personalized treatment plans that include measurable goals, tailored interventions, and ongoing evaluations.
- Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, consisting of psychiatrists, school counselors, and other mental health professionals, to provide integrated care.
- Engage in crisis intervention strategies, risk assessments, and safety planning to ensure the welfare of clients facing acute challenges.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions and psychoeducation classes for both students and caregivers, enhancing community mental health literacy.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records, ensuring compliance with ethical and legal standards while upholding client confidentiality.
You will serve a varied clientele, including children, adolescents, and their families, helping them navigate mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and trauma. Your role is crucial in supporting these individuals’ emotional well-being and equipping them with effective coping strategies for their everyday lives. By working primarily within a school setting, you will have unique access to better understand the challenges students face, allowing for earlier interventions and support tailored to their educational environment.
Qualifications- A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
- Possession of an active state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
- A minimum of two years of experience in a mental health or outpatient setting, demonstrating clinical efficacy and dedication to client care.
- Strong understanding of contemporary evidence-based treatment modalities and effective therapeutic approaches relevant to a school setting.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and assessment skills, enabling you to connect effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Experience working within educational systems or familiarity with the unique mental health requirements of students.
- Previous involvement in crisis intervention strategies and trauma-informed care practices.
- Proficiency in using telehealth platforms to conduct therapy sessions.
