Work EnvironmentThis position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility that enhances work-life balance. As an LICSW, you will engage with clients largely through virtual platforms, offering therapy sessions, assessments, and follow-up consultations. Key Responsibilities- Develop personalized treatment plans based on thorough clinical assessments tailored to the unique needs of each student.
- Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing insights and recommendations that aim to enhance students' overall well-being and educational experiences.
- Monitor and evaluate client progress, ensuring that follow-ups are timely and supportive, addressing any changes or emerging needs in their situations.
- Collaborate closely with school personnel and parents, actively engaging in discussions to advocate for strategies that support student mental health and behavioral challenges.
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic practices and interventions to help students achieve their treatment goals.
- Maintain precise and confidential records of client interactions, progress notes, and treatment outcomes in compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Your work will focus primarily on school-aged children and adolescents, addressing a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, and behavioral issues. Understanding the unique context and pressures faced by students today is central to this role. By advocating for mental health awareness and providing critical support, you will play a transformative role in the lives of students navigating both personal and academic challenges.
Qualifications- A valid LICSW license is required to practice.
- A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
- Strong verbal communication skills for effective counseling and advising of clients.
- Demonstrated analytical abilities to design and implement effective treatment plans based on clinical assessments.
- Coaching skills to empower students and families to make positive life changes.
- At least 2-3 years of relevant experience working within a school setting or with a similar population.
- Experience in crisis intervention and familiarity with special education procedures could be advantageous.
- Comfort with electronic documentation and telehealth platforms to facilitate remote service delivery.
- Annual salary range of $100,000 to $105,000, based on experience and qualifications.
